The Book of Tales - Preview 8

A story of the man who was told by God to sacrifice his son and how Satan reacted to his attempt

Fire and Blade

The Man Who Became the Father of Faith

Nearly everyone has heard the story of the man who was told by God to sacrifice his son. Their tale is an epic one, retold in myriad ways, with nearly every culture ever since incorporating some form of sacrificial offering in order to ensure the clan’s ultimate survival. But what does tradition have to say about why Abraham seemed so willing to do something like that in the first place? Unfortunately, except for the brief passages in The Book of Genesis, tradition doesn’t have much to say. But what if there was another source of biblical truth not ordinarily found amongst the traditional sixty-six books of The Bible? And what if this record was able to provide some of the missing pieces to the biblical story? Did Abraham always have such unswerving faith? If so, then why was he so devoted to God? And if not, what enabled this one man, apart from all other men, to become the father of faith?

Astonishingly enough, there really is a body of ancient wisdom known as “apocryphal” literature, which provides exactly the links that we are seeking. Finally, we can discover for ourselves how God guided Abraham throughout every phase of his life, from rescuing him as a young man from the furnace of Nimrod, right up to the time when God asked him to sacrifice Isaac on Mount Moriah.

Story Continues From Above

Now, within the pages of a unique book, entitled The Book of Tales, you’ll finally discover the answers to questions you’ve wondered about your whole life, not to mention a few you never even thought to ask. What role did Noah and Shem play in the development of Abraham during his formative years? What lengths did Nimrod and his men take in trying to kill him before he could fulfill his world-changing destiny? How did Satan react to Abraham’s attempts to sacrifice his son to God? Was Isaac really unaware of his father’s intentions as he was being led up to that mountaintop? And when Abraham told Pharaoh that Sarah was his sister was his story really so far from the truth, after all, considering that she was, in reality, his brother’s daughter?

These are just some of the amazing things you’ll learn about in The Book of Tales… that is, if you dare.
